MelodyMeet – A Youth Music & Technology Hub

MelodyMeet.org is Charity 1.0’s second flagship project—a dedicated after-school and weekend center built to give youth ages 10–25 hands-on access to music, technology, and creative expression. Located in Tigard, Oregon, MelodyMeet blends a nature-inspired, welcoming environment with high-quality instruments, recording tools, and adaptive technology.

This project exists to bridge the gap in music education for underserved youth—particularly those who lack access to school-based programs or face physical, financial, or social barriers to participation. MelodyMeet is designed from the ground up to be inclusive, inspiring, and accessible.

Youth participants can explore:

  • Group jam sessions and collaborative band projects

  • Private and small group instrument lessons

  • Workshops in music production, beat-making, and songwriting

  • Monthly music appreciation clubs and guest artist talks

  • Youth-led open mic nights and showcase recordings

All programs are free or low-cost, and built around mentorship, confidence-building, and creative exploration. Students with disabilities are supported through adaptive instruments and assistive tech, ensuring that all young people can participate fully.

While future programming will include adults and veterans, the 2025–2026 pilot launch of MelodyMeet is focused on youth. Our goal is to engage over 100 local students in meaningful, empowering music experiences that build skills, identity, and connection—on and off the stage.

openSAR.net - Project 1.0

As part of Charity 1.0’s innovation initiatives, the openSAR.net team competed in the UAS Triple Challenge 3.1 – FastFind and advanced through the second stage, earning a total of $10,000 in awards. Our work culminated in a functional, 3D-printed low-cost VTOL drone system specifically designed to aid search and rescue operations in dense forest environments. The platform features a 3D-printed airframe, thermal camera integration, RTK navigation, and an open-source control stack—paired with an online training program to empower local SAR teams with the tools and knowledge to deploy the technology effectively.
